The Best Ways to Smoke CBD Hemp Flower

As CBD grows more available to the public, you may be wondering "where can I find high quality CBD flower and how do I smoke it? There are a variety of ways to consume CBD, but today I am going to focus on smoking CBD hemp flower. I find smoking to be one of the most efficient ways to consume my flower while still reaping all of the benefits. Many users report that smoking CBD flower may help with anxiety.

Now it's important to make the distinction between CBD hemp flower and marijuana. Many people are confused as to what constitutes hemp flower vs. Marijuana. Marijuana, also known as cannabis, is currently an Illegal Schedule I substance at the federal level in the United States, despite several states making it legal as a recreational and medical substance. CBD hemp flower is not illegal in the United States and is free to be used recreationally or medicinally. The difference between these two hemp flowers is the chemical tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC as it is commonly referred. THC is responsible for the psychoactive effects that are reported when smoking Marijuana. CBD hemp flower is grown to minimize the amount of THC or completely eliminate it from the flower so that the user does not feel the same psychoactive effects they would from smoking marijuana. Now that we know what we're smoking, let's get into the various ways to do it.

The Joint (Rolling Papers)

CBD can be found in smoke shops and there is even CBD for sale online. One way to smoke it is the traditional joint by rolling the flower into a rolling paper. These rolling papers can be bought at any gas station, convenient store, or smoke shop. They come in various sizes and materials but they all do the same thing which is hold your flower together so you can light it and inhale the smoke from the other end. A joint is simple enough to roll by sprinkling a pinch of flower into the flat paper and then rolling it in your fingers until the flower is tucked in a paper tube. Then it is as easy as licking the glue on the paper and sealing the tube so it has a cone or cigarette like shape. Every once in a while I will use this method, but I find that in larger quantities the smoke can be harsh on my throat. There are healthier methods of consumption without combustion, or smoke, which I will get to next.

Vaporizing

This is by far my favorite method of consumption based on its efficiency, ease of use, and I feel that it is the healthiest method of consumption. All one needs is a vaporizer, which are easily found online, in gas stations, convenience stores, and smoke shops. Some have different methods of vaporization, so it is important to look for one that allows you to place the CBD flower into the device. Another good feature to look out for is the ability to change the temperature at which your flower is vaporized. Some users report different effects at various temperatures and I can say that a cooler temperature of vaporization is certainly easier on the throat. My favorite thing about vaporizing CBD is that it doesn't produce any smoke and that I can do it indoors while not having any unwanted physical effects such as a sore throat.

The Bong (Water Pipes)

Some users like to try and find a happy medium between the joint and vaporizing and this results in them trying a water pipe. Water pipes are typically seen as being only the bong which is displayed prominently in the media, but there are many shapes and methods of smoking through a pipe that has water. These pipes have water to cool the smoke before it reaches the users throat and many report that it is effective. These pipes are sold in the same place as rolling papers and vaporizers and come in many designs. Despite the smoke passing through water, it is still present when lighting the CBD hemp flower in the bowl and after the user exhales. This makes the bong less effective when trying to smoke discreetly inside or if one is trying to eliminate smoke inhalation.

The Blunt (Cigarillo Tobacco Wraps)

This method of smoking is by far the unhealthiest, but I thought I'd add it for those who want to experience the flower in a different way. Some users roll their CBD hemp flower into a cigarillo Tobacco Leaf and roll it closed in the same way they would a joint. They do this by either buying a cigarillo and emptying its contents, leaving just the outer shell, or tobacco leaf, or they buy these leafs separately. This method combines smoking Tobacco and CBD hemp flower at the same time. Tobacco contains nicotine, an addictive chemical, and tobacco smoke is known to contain carcinogens. I personally use CBD hemp flower for its anxiety relieving benefits and I know from past experience that nicotine, as a stimulant, gets my heart racing, so this is not a combination that I use when consuming my hemp flower.

The Bowl (Pipes)

Pipes come in all shapes, sizes, and materials. They typically consist of a bowl in which to place your flower on one end and a hole in which to breathe in smoke on the other. Once lit, smoke is produced. Some users may find this method easier than the joint, which can vary in quality depending on one's rolling skill. I also think this method is relatively healthier than the joint due to there being no smoke from the rolling paper inhaled. However, this method still involves inhaling smoke. It is a bit easier to control how much you're smoking, but I still find that with repeated use I eventually return back to my trusty vaporizer to soothe my throat.

There are many different ways to smoke CBD hemp flower and as we learn more about this amazing plant there will be new ways to utilize the benefits that come with consuming it. I like to experiment with different methods but still find my vaporizer to be my most trusted companion. With my vaporizer and some high quality CBD, I can smoke away my anxiety with ease. I hope with my help you can find the right method for you.
